What exactly do you mean by flat rate?
With our standard flat rate package, we take an over-the-phone inventory and based on the information you provide we recommend the package we feel will be most beneficial to you. To provide an accurate quote, we depend on your honesty and recollection of the items in your home.
We
also need to know about any abnormalities in the set up of your home (i.e., steep driveways, long corridors, elevator usage, multiple flights of stairs). Sometimes flat rate moves extend beyond the scheduled hours, but even then you are billed according to a discounted hourly rate that
is divided into fifteen minute increments.
What is included in your all-inclusive flat rate package?
Atlanta Flat Rate Movers offers an all-inclusive flat rate package for customers with larger moves who do not want to be constrained to an
hourly package. These moves are all-inclusive of the time your move takes and the other services listed for this move on the Services page.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Our business license is on file with the city of Kennesaw as Atlanta Flat Rate Movers LLC and we have been granted authority to perform
household goods moves by the Georgia Public Service Commission.
We have been granted authority to perform commercial moves by the Department of Revenue.
We are fully insured with limits exceeding those required by law.
Why do you require a deposit?
Atlanta Flat Rate Movers requires a small deposit in order to hold a particular position and here's why: often times, the moving company is the last to know that the customer no longer plans to move. When a position has been held for weeks, or even months, and the customer fails to give the moving company adequate notice of their plans to cancel, or any notice at all, it keeps us from being able to offer the position to someone who really needs it. We've found that when a customer pays a deposit they are more likely to keep us abreast of their plans.
The deposit also works to insure that the price and time slot you were given doesn't change, and that you aren't "bumped" from your position for a more lucrative move, as is the practice of some moving companies.
Is my deposit refundable?
Your deposit will be deducted from your total price, so consider it money in the bank. Deposits are refundable at the discretion of Atlanta Flat Rate Movers LLC, minus a processing fee of 10% of your quote price.
Will I get a refund if my move doesn't take as long as the hourly package I've booked for?
The package you book for is considered your minimum, so in the event the move doesn't take as long as anticipated you will still owe the amount you were quoted for your particular package.
What are my payment options?
We are happy to say that we offer a variety of payment options, including: credit, debit, cashier's check, money order and, of course, cash.
Unfortunately, we do not accept personal checks. Cashier's checks and money orders must be made out to Atlanta Flat Rate Movers LLC.
Credit and debit card payments can be made over the phone with one of our representatives.
How many men will I get with my move?
Our standard is three men, however, you can request less or more depending on your particular needs.
How much will you charge me to reschedule my move?
Your deposit allows you to reschedule once free of charge, granted the movers have not already been dispatched to your home. In that case,
you will be charged a minimal rescheduling fee. After your first reschedule, each additional is $25.
